About Tina

Tina Vict 4x5.jpg

I am a multidisciplinary artist born & raised in Moore, Oklahoma. I have always had a love for abandon buildings, other people's discarded items & the horror genre. Combining them has allowed me to create my own style of art.

I use my artistry to help achieve a meditative state while battling chronic pain, turning something undesirable into a positive experience.

My interests also include; adult coloring books, cosplay, refurbishing furniture, sewing & crocheting for charity.

PHOTOGRAPHER

My love for photography started at a young age while viewing the slides of my father's journey in Korea while serving in the U.S. Army. I continued that love, as an adult, & attended the Oklahoma School of Photography where I graduated with honors.  The IPhone was released shortly after & digital photography exploded. I bought Photoshop. After hours of reading & many versions of my favorite photos butchered beyond recognition, I developed my own style, which is the cornerstone of my artistic vision today.

PAINTER

Saturday mornings were not complete without watching Bob Ross on PBS. I loved my coloring books & dreamed of someday painting like him. I was surprised by my husband, John (Paw Paw), with painting supplies & a Bob Ross DVD in my 40's,  I had always been afraid to take the plunge & give it a try, but I jumped in with both feet. The words "happy accident" echoed in my head & I just kept painting. My confidence began to build along with my abilities. Bob's artistic skills & teaching style is why he continues to be one of my role models. Who doesn't like a happy tree?

SCULPTOR

I worked at a nursing home in my early 20's & fell in love with several of the little old ladies that lived there. I have thought about many of them over the years, including my own grandmothers. I wasn't sure how I could combine them with my aesthetic and create something worthy of them.

One day while perusing an antique store, I found a doll making manual with a beautiful senior woman on the the cover. I almost screamed with joy. Sculpting began & Edith's face finally emerged. I added the Universal monsters to my sculpt list and created some fun cane toppers from them.
